Pianist Chris Guerriero has extensive experience teaching piano to all ages and levels and has taught for over 20 years. His piano students have performed and competed actively in the Los Angeles area. His students have been winners at the SYMF competition, the Musical Arts Competition, and have frequently completed the highest levels of the MTAC Certificate of Merit program. His students have gone on to study at the Colburn School, Stanford University, UC Irvine, and USC.
He began studies at age 3 under the instruction of Jane Bastien, who authored the famous Bastien Piano Method series. He holds several prize titles, including 1st prize at the MTAC state solo piano competition and various others. He has performed with symphonies such as the Fresno Philharmonic and has held teaching positions at CSU Fresno and USC.
In 2018, Mr. Chris was a board member for the MTAC South Bay Branch and the Director of the Certificate of Merit program in the South Bay Branch.
Mr. Chris has a Bachelors degree in Piano Performance from Utah State University and a Masters degree in Piano Performance from Cal State Fresno. He started studies for a DMA program from USC.
