Born and raised on the island of Guam, Ms. Ellery was immersed in the music world at an early age. Taking after her father who has been a drummer for over 50 years and an advocate for the music education of the younger generation, she went on to complete her Bachelor's degree in Commercial Music at Biola University.
Ms. Ellery has experience teaching voice, ukulele, guitar, and beginning piano to students of all ages and levels. She teaches a diverse range of styles, including pop, contemporary, R&B, musical theater, and more. She specializes in teaching students how to sing while playing an instrument at the same time, such as how to sing and play the ukulele, guitar, and piano.
Ms. Ellery also has experience working with children and teaching group classes, previously teaching at kids theater camps where she taught singing and musical theater to children.
During her time at Biola, she has released an EP, “Backwards California,” and has performed at the House of Blues and was an opening act for Grammy-nominated R&B singer Brian McKnight. Ms. Ellery has gone on to use her vocal and songwriting talents for songs for major video editing companies, as well as continuing to work on many personal projects.
Ms. Ellery has taught a wide range of age groups, backgrounds, and skills. She loves investing in her students and strives to encourage them to have fun and to express themselves through their voices and instruments.
