Patricia Harijanto

Patricia Harijanto attained her Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance at BIOLA University, where she studied under Professor Manami Kawamura, a former student of the legendary pianist Menahem Pressler. There, she also participated in masterclasses with distinguished pianists Sandra Shen, Alvin Chow, Dr. Asaf Zohar, Norman Lee, and Dr. Jooeun Park.

Although she is passionate in performing, Mrs. Patricia also values the significant role of good piano pedagogy. She has taught numerous students in her teaching career of all ages and levels. She tailors her lessons to meet each student’s learning style, including students with special needs, different interests in musical genres, and various goals. Mrs. Patricia is also an instructor for the pilot test classes with the publishing company Piano Adventures, and the Event Coordinator for Opus Music School’s Summer Tour. In this role, she oversaw the planning for Opus Music School’s 2019 recital at Colburn School’s Thayer Concert Hall in Downtown Los Angeles.

Mrs. Patricia believes proper musical training is important and that learning piano should be fun and enjoyable. Both visions combined, she prioritizes good technique and musical artistry, as well as providing a positive and supportive learning environment for her students.
