Recital Signups Begin 11/1
Our next music recital will be on Sunday, 1/26/2020 at the Hacienda Heights Community Center. The recital is open to any active student at Opus Music School of any instrument, all ages and all levels.

2pm (including Opus Pop Stars bands)
3pm (for students who need teacher accompaniment)

Program times will be offered on a first come, first serve basis. If you require your teacher to accompany your performance, please sign up for one of the last 3 program times (3pm, 4pm, or 5pm) to ensure your teacher will be present. If you can only do an earlier program time, you may have another accompanist assigned to you.

Halloween Costume Week
Dessert Party for Challenge Winners
We're so proud of all of our students who have been practicing and participating in our Team Fall Practice Challenge!
Currently in 1st place: Team Sunday/Monday
Winning team will receive: Dessert party catered to Opus Music School on your lesson day.
Special awards: Special individual awards will be given to the students with the most number of minutes practiced.
Last day to turn in practice sheets: Sunday, 11/3/19
Some of you have asked why the students on Sunday and Monday are grouped together. When we started the challenge, we had just a few students taking lessons on Sunday, so it was grouped with the neighboring day. We still have 2 weeks before the challenge ends, so keep practicing!
Mr. Francis in Brazil
Opus Music School's very own drum/guitar teacher Mr. Francis recently performed in front of 40,000 people. On 10/9/19, his band Rage In My Eyes opened for metal band Iron Maiden in his hometown in Brazil at Gremio Stadium.
We're so proud of you Mr. Francis and can't wait until you are back!

A Note From the Founder
I'd like to welcome all of the new families who have joined our school in recent months. We have added nearly 100 new students since the beginning of 2019. Thank you for making us the largest and fastest growing music school in Hacienda Heights! We hope you are enjoying your lessons at Opus Music School. If there is ever any feedback, please do not hesitate to let me or one of our front desk team members know.
The biggest compliment we can receive is a referral. As a reminder, we offer a free 30-minute lesson (in the instrument of your choosing) to those who refer us a new student at Opus Music School. Just see our front desk for details. Thank you for your continued support!
P.S. On 12/20/19, we will be announcing the destination for the next Opus Summer Tour in the summer of 2020! I am very excited for our students to go out of state to a prestigious venue. The venue and city announcement will take place on our social media pages so be sure to follow us on Instagram or Facebook so you don't miss the reveal!
Thanks for being a part of the Opus family.
Very truly yours,
Mrs. Theresa Cheng
