Prerequisite: Finish Pop Stars Mini class OR age 6-10 beginner

Level: Beginner (No musical experience)

Cost: $110 per month ($25 one-time materials fee per student)

Join our Silver beginner level band class, where students will rotate among all of the following instruments: piano, guitar, drums, and singing. Real pop songs by artists such as Sam Smith and One Republic are simplified for this age group.

Students will learn to read basic music notation, chords, and play on real acoustic instruments in this class once a week. Students will perform in a real concert every several months. There may be an additional concert venue fee, depending on the venue.

There is a materials fee of $25 per student, which includes all materials to be used during the class, a band T-shirt, and a concert opportunity.

No instrument purchase or at-home practicing required.

A Note from the Founder

Thank you for your continued support and loyalty. We passed 300 students and as of the date of this newsletter we are at 328 students.

Seth (drum student) and Scarlett (piano student) are our 300th and 301st students. They received $300 worth of music lessons and all our students that day got to enjoy Krispy Kreme donuts.

Just 6 years ago, I started Opus Music School because there was no music school or place for residents to take music lessons in the city where I grew up. I quit my corporate job at a Big 4 accounting firm in Downtown LA and came back to my hometown of Hacienda Heights to start teaching music lessons. Our first recital in 2014 took place in a small church with 2 music teachers. 5.5 years later, our recital this past Sunday had a staff of 20 and a level of professionalism that blew me away.

Thank you for making us the largest music school in Hacienda Heights. I'm grateful for the Opus family on this journey with me and my team as we execute a vision to not just be a music school, but a unique and positive environment to learn music and have fun. I don't know yet where we will be in another 5 years but I hope you will continue to join us on this exciting adventure. Thank you for your support, truly.

-Mrs. Theresa
