Piano, Beginning Violin
Mr. Steve graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a master’s degree in Piano Pedagogy. He began studying piano at the age of 9 and violin at the age of 11. Mr. Steve is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California (MTAC).
Mr. Steve has experience teaching piano to children and adults, both in his private piano studio and at various music schools. He teaches piano from the beginning early stages to advanced levels. As a piano enthusiast, Steve has earned several MTAC festival awards for adult performance programs. He has entered piano students in the Certificate of Merit piano evaluation program of MTAC and is also an active piano collaborator for soloists as well as other instruments in the Certificate of Merit program.
In addition to his musical life, Mr. Steve has performed for both senior and youth choirs as a piano accompanist and choir assistant for over 7 years. He worked at the East Valley Children's Choir as a piano accompanist for years and has recently become the piano accompanist for Rise and Shine Children's Choir in Chino Hills. He was also a violinist of both Garey High School Orchestra and Mt. San Antonio String Ensemble and he has performed with South Coast Youth Symphony Orchestra in 2011.
Aside from his musical accomplishments, Mr. Steve has several years of experience teaching children and adults. He believes that teachers have the responsibility to help students find their passion in learning instruments. His goal is to motivate children in developing their interest and love for music.
