Ms. Tammy has been teaching piano and voice for over 20 years and has worked with students of varying levels and ages. Her passion is to see students develop a genuine love for music that will last beyond the music lesson room and to help them discover their unique style and artistic expression.
She has worked with students across multiple genres within classical and contemporary music and has experience mentoring students through formal examinations, competitions, musical theatre auditions, record label showcases and studio recordings. Many of Tammy's students have in fact gone on to pursue music professionally, touring nationally with musical theatre productions (e.g. The Lion King, The King and I) and securing record label deals.
As a musician, Ms. Tammy began her journey in music learning piano from the age of 3. She studied under the world renowned concert pianist and former Dean of the Conservatory of Music in Melbourne Australia, Ronald Farren-Price and also his wife, Margaret Farren-Price in her younger years. Ms. Tammy was also awarded an Associate in Music (Piano) by the Australian Examinations Board. However, her music world has always extended beyond being a classical pianist, learning violin from the age of 6, playing in the junior Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, learning voice from the age of 10, performing in national theatre productions as a vocalist (e.g. Mack and Mable) and then later jumping into the pop world and releasing multiple singles as a signed recording artist and through her band, Neon Georgie.
When Ms. Tammy is not teaching, she is busy in the studio, throwing notes on the screens and composing for Film & Television!
